If that’s you, MTSU’s B.S. in Video and Film Production degree is a launchpad for your future. It’s one of the most comprehensive, longest running, and largest video and film programs in the region. The program covers both filmmaking and television production.

Our four-year degree gives students the opportunity to develop the right skills to launch their careers, and the theoretical and historical understanding necessary for long-term success, our goal is to help you discover the best version of your future self.

Video and Film Production students benefit from our outstanding faculty, up-to-date curriculum, hands-on learning, and amazing facilities that include an equipment checkout system, three TV/film studios, a 40-foot mobile production lab, a huge video wall, and an immersive storytelling lab for VR, AR, and more. You can pair that with great minors like animation, interactive media, photography, advertising, audio production, film studies, and more.

Our student learning experiences go well beyond traditional classrooms. We have classes abroad, in Los Angeles, all around the region, and even at the Bonnaroo music festival. Our growing schedule of online classes helps those working their way through college. Extracurricular opportunities exist with student-run TV and radio stations, clubs for filmmakers, photographers, animators, and more.
